What kind of process would you use for masting a jazz recording? I just mixed and mastered a live recording of my band, but I have to admit it was all a bit of guess work. The mastering was basically just running it through a tube compression simulator. For jazz it seems to have turned out alright. If it was pop music I'm sure the process would be more involved.
